The Ruined Abbey, Kenilworth
You will find that the ruined abbey is rich with history and ghosts, from eerie voices to phantom mists that appear on the path ways.
The Abbey of St Mary was founded around 1119 for Augustinian Canons and was closed by King Henry VIII’s dissolution in 1538. By 1600, most of its buildings had been dismantled, although some parts survive today both above and below ground. At its height the Abbey had the second highest income in the County. However, all that remains now are small parts of the Nave and Chapter House, the ruined gatehouse and another building of unknown origin known today as the ‘Barn’.
The abbey passed into the hands of Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester (Elizabeth I’s favourite), who removed much of the stone for repairs and extensions to Kenilworth Castle.
Welcome to Abbey Fields where you are in for an interesting and exciting evening of paranormal activity.
The Rollright stones are a legend within themselves and have stood the test of time, in fact they have been here since 2500bc.
The Whispering Knights are not with the main Rollright Stones, they are 400 metres away from the main circle and they predate the main circle by at least 1000 years, which makes them about 3500bc.
The stones are probably one of the earliest types of monuments in the UK. The Whispering Knights was an ancient burial chamber, and more than likely would have contained several individuals. The chamber has been excavated over the years, and there was one bone found which was human and when it was dated it was found to be 1700bc.
An important part of history, full of intrigue and mystery. Many paranormal findings and happenings have happened here, many things seen and heard.
The Rollright Stones are a fantastic and fascinating ancient site, a site that is worth visiting time and time again.
The Belltower, Evesham
Dating back to the early 16th Century, and the Abbey itself dates back to around 700 AD and was built after an alleged sighting of the Virgin Mary. During the Dissolution of the Monasteries, the abbey was demolished leaving only the bell tower surviving into the 21st century.
In the grounds you will find that graves of some famous people including Simon de Montfort (6th Earl of Leicester) Henry de Montfort Rober de Stafford.
Many paranormal happenings have been seen and heard at the abbey, many in the grounds which is where we will be completing our investigation. In the grounds it has said that shadows have been seen, a ghost without feet, there are stories of witches, priests have been seen and ghostly apparitions have been seen in the alley way near the abbey.
A fascinating place full of ghostly mischief.
The Rollright Stones, The Main Circle
Welcome to the Ancient world of the Rollright Stones which has been standing here since 2500BC.
The stones are magnificent and full of intrigue, witches, spirits and ghosts. The site has been used for ancient burials, witchcraft, used by pagans for sacrifice and more. The site has been used for ancient burials and many bones and remains have been found whilst teams of archeologists have been digging. There was even an urn with the remains of a child found.
A fascinating site and a site full of intrigue with many many strange sightings, photographs and recordings from the site.
We have many reportings about spirits within the grounds of the stones, we have reports from witches to babies crying, so yes, a very active site.
